Player Introduction

This is a campaign style game designed for the long-term.  The setting is home-grown in a world that is recovering from the ravages of what has been called the God War due to the number of other-planar beings involved in the conflict.  Currently, the great nations are stable but trust is at a premium.  The glue that binds the peace holds because nobody wants to revisit the horrors of such large scale devastation.

The game is combat focused with role-playing opportunities that are designed to move a detailed story forward.  Each character will have a background that is designed to give players personal opportunities to explore.  This is not a game for the player who just wants to show up and roll dice.  This is not a game for people who like to role-play just for the sake of role-playing.  The players who will enjoy this game best like to get their hands dirty while realizing that knowledge is power.  There is a depth of information that requires some commitment on the part of the player to come prepared for the game.

The world is expansive and attempts to create challenging situations where the players may have tough decisions.  Combats are likewise designed to test the players skill and ability to fight as a team.  With that said, players should know when to fight and, just as importantly, know when not to fight.  Character death is a real possibility though not something that is expected if people play well.

I am trying to build a solid, long-term, gaming group of dedicated players.  If you think you are interested in this game please be sure that you have the time, the dedication, the computer equipment, and the desire to immerse yourself in a complex gaming world.
